The event will be festive ; Champagne and novelties from the artist will be in the spotlight for this evening. A draw will be held at the end of the evening among the participants with surprises signed by Cordo from the brand Veuve Clicquot.
Vincent Cordo's work has always been driven by today's woman, sometimes seductive, sometimes charming, and the importance of taking advantage of the present time when you are in good company! Recently, his work has also moved towards the combination of gold and stainless-steel lettering, which adds a new richness to his works.
Annie Labbé & Mélanie Simard : Kaléidoscope
May 6 to 21, 2023. Opening Saturday May 6 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Beauchamp Art Gallery (Galerie d'Art Beauchamp) - QUEBEC, 69 rue St-Pierre Quebec, Qc
In this exhibition entitled Kaleidoscope, Annie Labbé and Mélanie Simard discuss their whirlwind lives, where each moment becomes the inspiration for a new artwork. The many hats worn by these artists lead them to live a myriad of experiences, resulting in the most beautiful, sometimes unusual, but always striking creations. The reality of the "taxi mom", the visits to the hospital, the work that floods the studio; anything goes! Art thus becomes an outlet that allows these two artists to free themselves from the grip of everyday life. On the menu: cut-out geometry, instant messages, surprising supports and mountainous landscapes.
These works, once arranged, offer a variety of possibilities to each and every viewer. Visitors are invited to enter their universe and transpose their own reality. New works by Annie and Mélanie will be unveiled for this latest collaboration between the two artists. Although they live very different realities, they experience similar joys and sorrows, materializing in distinctive works where colour and eccentricity unite. As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together! Perhaps you will recognise yourself in these works too!?
Kaleidoscope: an optical instrument that reflects external light to create an infinite amount of colour. The name of this toy comes from the three Greek words kalos, “beautiful”, eidos, “image”, and skopein, “to look”. Some models contain moving fragments of coloured glass or bubbles that produce infinite combinations of beautiful patterns.

- Beauchamp Art Gallery (Galerie d'Art Beauchamp) - MONTREAL, 51 rue St-Paul O., Montreal, Qc
"In the execution of my sculptures, I explore and shape the material into a series of characters. Through their attitude, these figures take on a life of their own and become embedded in the everyday," explains multidisciplinary sculptor Rémi Bergeron. For his exhibition entitled Attitude, presented at the Galerie Beauchamp in Montreal from June 7th to 18th, the artist will create fifteen sculptures, two of which will be life-size.
For this former puppeteer, the object is a story, an accumulation of time, and a form in its raw state. Rémi Bergeron's sculptures are not a simple welding job or a pile of objects, but rather a search for the body's natural posture which gives his creations personality and soul. "This way of perceiving the object is rooted in my work and is undoubtedly the driving force in my artistic approach." The artist will be present in the gallery on June 10th and 17th to discuss his work.
