Casimiro, artist

Casimiro was born in 1959 in Alcoy, Spain, where he currently lives and works.

He began his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Alcoy, then moved to Valencia to deepen his visual arts training. There, he developed an interest in marine scenes that soon became one of his specialties.

Back in his hometown, he is pursuing his studies at the university in a constant effort to improve and renew his artistic style. Formerly a classical painter, Casimiro is now more interested in new trends with a more contemporary and sometimes even surreal style to create more textured, playful scenes. The aerial views he depicts are dotted with tiny figures, sometimes in a naive context and sometimes in situations that question the state of society and human behavior. Always more fun than provocative, we can feel a real pleasure to place his subjects in his scenes. His combination of optical play, unique materials and shading is what characterizes his most recent productions.

With many years of experience, he has participated in several exhibitions around the world and is part of several public and private collections. He currently exhibits in England, the United States and Canada.
